Experience with GameFly
I have had Gamefly coming up on 8 months. I have rented a multitude of games from them for a few different systems. With this I have also had the experience of renting a ton of genres and game types. Overall I would say I am experienced when it comes to Gamefly.

Current Game Out (Buying Options)
Having a game out is pretty simple one thing that I was pleasantly surpised by was the option to buy a game once you had it. To further this if you buy a game you have rented they will mail you the box and paperwork for FREE. That means you can finally try a game before you buy with little to no penalty. They also have the option to add a second game if you are an avid gamer. This would essentially free you up of any waiting between games selected. This also has an additional benefit in that you can get games that are limited in quantity because you can have one waiting for the next copy in queue. Where normally you would have to go based on luck.
Game "Q"
They have a queueing system that works like a number in line. When you add a game you give it a priority and set it appropriately in your list. When the game comes back to GameFly it is then shipped to the next person looking to rent the game. This is kind of limiting in that you cant always get the game you want. However I have found that it forces me to expand my list based on games I want to try. This has of course resulted in a few unexpected games that I had originally pegged as ones I wouldnt have enjoyed. Most notably would be LOTR: Shadow of Mordor. I have grown to love this game given its similarities to Assassins Creed.

Game Selection
The overall selection available is staggering and awesome. I like the fact that I can select what systems I own and GameFly will prompt me with news about new releases or up and coming games. This is helpful when trying to keep up to date with game releases. They also provide access to some of your favorite classics on older consoles. So no one has the excuse that it isn't for them. In fact I would go as far as to say that if you have an older console you need GameFly more than ever due to the selection. To go with this they have a great selection of movies and blue-rays that keeps up with Netflix at a similar price.

GameFly Rewards
This last one was something I was completely unaware of until earning my first reward. In fact I was really excited when I found out they even had a reward system for being a member. Overall this is one factor that kind of sealed the deal for me when deciding if the service was worth it. With the benefits of a percentage of a game as well as a cash reward every few months it is hard to not find the value in using GameFly vs buying or renting from Redbox.

Final Opinion
In summary I would highly recommend trialing GameFly if you are an active gamer. I would even recommend it if you have kids that play games. The usability of the service is great and provides a lot of flexibility. It also has a robust collection of games to choose from even if it a decade or two old. Lastly the reward system practicly has the service paying for itself with cash and percentage value towards games.

I will have to give GameFly a try, I've heard about it, seen the ads, but wasn't really sure how it worked until your post.. As a casual gamer myself, I like the feature of being able to buy a game if after I have rented it and its a keeper!
